Master Key Week 1: Awareness to New Possibilities…

Master Key awareness for me started over 10 years ago but my belief system didn’t quite kick in until recently.  Sure, I read the book and grabbed few smart ideas.  Even used a few.

AwarenessUnfortunately, I didn’t follow the study guide outlined by the author, Charles Haanel. The book had been collecting dust on my bookshelf and hadn’t been opened in years!  Duh!

Then, seemingly out of the blue a couple of weeks ago, a video from the Master Key Master Mind Alliance speared my attention.  I was so inspired by the heartfelt message and the unique concept outlined by Mark J. that I immediately applied and was accepted for a six-month scholarship including one-on-one coaching by a Certified Guide.

What did I miss the first time around a decade ago?  Nothing really.  This time my level of awareness was much higher and I was ready to receive the opportunity to expand my life. I was simply tired of drifting along and ready to make some changes to experience a more fulfilling lifestyle.

Focus on SuccessAnd I prepared for this journey this week by setting up the structure to stay focused and hold myself accountable.  I scheduled my week’s objectives and actions – wrote them in my day planner AND google calendar – taking no chances of missing any critical activity.

I’ve noticed my focus has already sharpened and my energy level has spiked to a new high as I roll up my sleeves to get to work on this course… and on myself. Dove in and committed 100% to focus on success.

Raising My Master Key Awareness

Reflections on the first lesson – comments from Haanel resonate and amplify my intentions. Reading lesson one every day for the first week (constant spaced repetition) continually raises my awareness to new levels and increases my energy.

“ There is a world within – a world of thought feeling and power; of light and life and beauty, and although invisible, it’s forces are mighty.”

He goes on to elaborate on how to create change in your life…

” This system will bring you into a realization of power which will be yours when you understand this relation between the world without and the world within. The world within is the cause, the world without is the effect; to change the effect you must change the cause.”

Keep in mind – this is not some “out there” urban legend – it’s proven science.  And it emphasizes a critical point: You have to start thinking about what you’re going to think about! And follow through with the commitment  NO waffling about it!

At this point, your “woo – woo” filter may kick in and you might wander off to watch some more cat videos on YouTube or whatever comfort zone you escape to instead of thinking for yourself.  Don’t fret though! It’s not your fault!  Most of our life we are taught what to think instead of HOW to think!

It may have been Earl Nightingale who said: “ If you ask most people what they’re thinking… they’d be speechless”. I’ve been there and so have you, right? Hate it when that happens!

Of course, once you have raised your awareness to understand the hidden power you can unlock once you become a self-directed thinker… you have unlimited potential. It’s a choice.

Excuses – Are You Lying to Yourself?

For the longest time, I made excuses! Silly when you think about it?

I wouldn’t lie to you or anyone else – why would I lie to myself? Duh!  Awareness!

Reading Og Mandino every day this week has shown me how shallow any of my excuses about not having enough experience or knowledge would now sound. He must have been speaking directly to me when he said:

“I will commence my journey unencumbered with either the weight of unnecessary knowledge or the handicap of meaningless experience.”

And he boldly emphasized it with:

“The value of experience is overrated, usually by old men who nod wisely and speak stupidly.”

I’m still laughing about that one and it leaves NO doubt in my mind about making excuses. Excuses are simply me lying to myself.  Not doing that any more!

AwarenessSo I am in the process of replacing my old blueprint and charting a new course to follow my definite purpose.

Has this post raised your Master Key awareness just a little today?  Or made you think a little differently?

Thanks for reading my musings today.

’til next time…

Cheers,
Dennis Goff
